POLICE REPORTS/EXPUNGEMENTS


NOTICE: The Milledgeville Police Department does not accept any cash payments at this time.

OBTAINING A COPY OF A MILLEDGEVILLE POLICE OR ACCIDENT REPORT
In Person
You may visit the police department from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.(Monday to Friday) to pick up a copy of the report. Report cost is $7.00 per Accident or Incident Report when paying by money order or $10.00 per Accident or Incident report when paying by credit/debit.
​**WE CANNOT PROCESS REQUESTS FOR POLICE REPORTS BY EMAIL OR FAX.**

Filing a Police Report (Incident or Accident must have occurred within the city of Milliedgeville city limits)

In case of emergency contact “911” for non-emergency dial 478-414-4090 to have an officer dispatched to your (Milledgeville) location.


In Person
You may visit the police department 24/7 to request an officer to be dispatched to the department to open/file your report.  After hours enter through the main entrance of the police department and ring the door bell at the front counter.

Expungements

Expungement refers to the purging of criminal history records. O.C.G.A. §35-3-37(d) provides for the expungement of certain criminal history records when approved by the prosecuting attorney. Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) cannot expunge a criminal history record without the approval of the prosecuting attorney.

Instructions for Request to Expunge Arrest Record
  1. The Milledgeville Police Department processing fee is $15.00 and is NON-REFUNDABLE. Only money orders (payable to "City of Milledgeville") are accepted as a form of payment.
  2. By filing and paying for a Request for Expungement, this does NOT guarantee approval.
  3. If the applicant’s case was presented in the Milledgeville Municipal Court, our department will complete Section 2 and the Request for Expungement ("Request Form") will be forwarded to the City of Milledgeville Solicitor for review. Please allow a maximum of three (3) months for completion of the approval process.
  4. If the applicant’s case was presented in the Baldwin County Court, our department will complete Section 2 and the Request for Expungement will be forwarded to the Baldwin County Court for review. Please allow a maximum of one (1) year for completion of the approval process.
  5. Please mail or deliver your Request for Expungement and $15.00 fee to the following address:

  6. Once the applicant receives an approved Request for Expungement, applicant is responsible for forwarding the approved Request Form, plus an additional $25.00 fee (money order or certified check payable to: "Georgia Bureau of Investigation") to the Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC).
